Open up your project and select the Ruler icon **on the right hand of your screen.
Find the point on your map where you want to start your measurement and start a ruler line by right-clicking to plot your first point.
Continue to plot points by clicking on the map where you want to place them.
To finish drawing the area you want to measure, click the original point you plotted and it should say “enclose measure.” For simple lines, re-click the last point you plotted and it should say “end measure.”
