Welcome to Manually Importing DJI Flight Logs! If you have a DJI RC or DJI RC 2 controller, you can’t install AirCast because those controllers don’t allow third-party apps. Great news is you can still import your flight records by exporting your flight logs and importing them into Pilot and Fleet Tracking manually.

We know every flight counts toward your pilots’ hours, your aircraft’s time in service, pilot currency, and maintenance schedules. This page walks you through exporting flight logs from your controller on Windows or Mac and importing them into Novas Pilot and Fleet Tracking.

Export Your Flight Logs

The controller saves each flight log as a TXT file, named with the date and time of the flight. Follow the steps for your computer below.

On Windows

  1. Power on your DJI RC or DJI RC 2.
  2. Connect the controller to your computer with a USB-C data cable. A charge-only cable won’t work.
  3. Open File Explorer and select the controller. It will appear as “DJI RC” or “DJI RC 2.”
  4. Go to Internal shared storage > files > FlightRecord.
  5. Copy the TXT files you want onto your computer.

On Mac

Macs can’t read Android-based controllers over USB, so you’ll copy the logs to the controller’s microSD card first, then move them to your computer.

  1. On the controller, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Settings icon in the top right, then tap Storage.
